Oh boy here we go. Kuma has landed. The turning point of the story. Strap in because things are going to get very tough for our straw hats.

Rosinante

Robin won't do Tactics #15 bc then they would just beat Oars too fast

Artimes

Power rangers lol. Bro have you seen a super robot show before? Franky's emperor dock form was a clear throwback to super robot transformations of the 70's era.

My favorite thing about Thriller Bark is the way it just drops Kuma out of nowhere when the stakes are already high. He's terrifying.

Gouso Wakito

@link9us super sentai yeah, i'm a huge fan

Smiling Saiyan

I was just as confused as you were when I first watched this bro xD especially that part with Perona

Xeph

Apparently you haven't seen much power rangers, cause they had a giant robot combination like that too called megazord.

Artimes

Yeah but its origins are not Power rangers. Thats an american adaptation based from Super Sentai in japan. The Megazord was most likely first introduced in one of the early super sentai entries. Even 70's classic anime share similar designs and references with stuff like Go Lion which is known as Voltron in america. I am not looking exact time and date so im just going based off memory but i certainly know a show from the 90's power rangers did not concieve that design.

@link9us Awkward backpedal. Could have just said "yeah my mistake". This is the equivalent of saying "ACTUALLY, no, it's not a reference to the One Piece anime, it's ACTUALLY a reference to the source material (manga)". It's literally the same thing being referenced, you were simply wrong. It's ok to be wrong, my man.
