This moment to me shows that while yes, Luffy is a complete moron he is also extremely emotionally intelligent. He always cuts the fat and gets straight to the point. Greatest MC

The "We Are" that you listened to for ep 285 is a special 10th anniversary version that is sung by the voice actors of the crew, very wholesome And btw, the sword "eating" the Elephant-Elephant fruit is a concept that was brought up in Alabasta during Usopp and Chopper's fight with Miss Merry Christmas and Mr. 4 since Mr.4 had a pet that was the result of a gun "eating" a Dog-Dog fruit. It was mention during that arc that the process was discovered/developed by Grand Line scientists. Something worth adding to the Wall Piece if it's not already there

Kenji

you just spoiled him about vegapunk, why would you do that?

Mimi

my bad, edited the comment, thought for sure he was named dropped at that time, but it's at the end of this arc (which he's past according to anilist)

The fights in this arc that are coming up are some of my favorites in the series

Robin being able to read the poneglyphs means that Pluton can be found (it was built in the past and hidden). Franky burning the blueprints just means that another copy of Pluton can no longer be built in order to counter the existing one. The reason Franky is comfortable with burning the blueprint is because he no longer believes Robin to be evil and thinks that the Straw Hats will win and take Robin back, so the government won't be able to find the existing Pluton.

Yeah, the Roger intro will be a thing for awhile. It's annoying, but I believe they do it to eat up time and prevent the anime from catching up to the manga. Similar to the purpose of filler. Or maybe they just do it to reduce the weekly workload, who knows. You will notice various intros like that in future arcs too, it comes and goes.

Honestly, it might be worth jumping to 3 episodes with how much recap there’s been

Sidari Yumanara

Can't wait to see the Zoro/Kaku fight, it's my favorite one out of these

"We've hopefully gotten past most of the emotional stuff. I don't think my heart's ready for anything else right now." Oh buddy, there're still a few more gut punches coming. Also I always find it funny that CP9, a group of super-human assassins that spent 5 years undercover, did basically nothing to get the blueprints from Franky before he burned them.

Tristoon Cartoons

Don Krieg looks like that in the intro because they based that artwork on his wanted poster rather than his appearance in the series.

John Stephen Sundae

Nico Robin already knows the location of pluton because the poneglyph that contains the information was at alabasta when king cobra showed it to her in the tomb of the kings. She lied to crocodile that it only contained the history of alabasta.

DiamonDust

Honestly, I think that CP9 just didn't expect him to do something that crazy. They probably thought he was going to propose a trade, not incinerate them lol. Franky basically made an all or nothing bet on the straw hats winning, if the straw hats had lost CP9 could have just taken them hostage and forced Robin to disclose the information they want about Pluton. It was a massive gamble. I would also assume that CP9 searched his body off screen on the train, but couldn't find that secret compartment. That's just my assumption based on CP9 being experts though.

A big part of Franky's character is "being manly." How he reconciled with Ussop after hearing about the Merry situation. How he held onto the blueprints and stayed in water 7. The fact he rebuilt himself after being hit by a train. How he became a father figure to all the lost people of Water 7, the Franky Family. And why he's so willing to fight for the Straw Hats here despite their past differences. I imagine that little dance was 1) Franky was dancing along with Fukuros little sing-songy beat to what he was explaining and 2) even though Fukuro is an enemy, he gave them the information they needed and that shows a level of respect, in the manly sense, to Franky.
