Finally we get some anime original arc centered around Kawaki's development, I was hoping for something like this back around the time of the delta fight so we could see him develop more before it all went down but seeing it now is still great, he's come quite far from back in ep 189

Happy New Year Jack! This Kawaki development is exactly the type of anime canon I wanted to see. Really enjoying the story of this arc as it is also really applicable to our reality right now haha. I kinda feel like this little arc is paying homage to Naruto and the Zabuza arc in terms of allowing Kawaki to define what a shinobi is for himself.

I love seeing more Kawaki development that we couldn’t get in the manga. It’s like we’re slowly peeling away from that rough shell and having him open up I also wanna give props to the writers. Some of them have being working on the Naruto series from jump and still being able to come up with unique jutsu’s like the ones from Jujumaru and Kurobane is dope

That was definitely a solid episode, I'm curious though about what kawaki will think about being a Shinobi in the end
