Fun fact about the meaning of the name Kawaki: Kawaki in Japanese kanji means empty, withered, or parched. Talking about the fact that Kawaki's existence does not make any sense other than being used by someone for their own selfish purposes. This is why i like Kawaki any new gen character, except team 7.

SO many ppl miss how at the end, Naruto's choice of words which are obv meant to be reassuring and caring are actually the worst thing he could have said to Kawaki at that moment, so sad :(:( Despite the tragic content of the ep, absolutely beautiful animation and a great way to show Kawaki's past. Also, fun fact, while the Kara name means husk/shell (in reference to Kawaki being the Vessel), it can also mean hollow or empty which is what Kawaki's dad called him a lot.

Yeah no dude Kawaki's backstory is HELLA sad and just gives instant depression lmao. Also it might be good to do episodes 203 and 204 together because of how one leads into the other but it's not entirely necessary, just an idea.

I was so happy when that guy asked him to go but he was just as bad a Jigen. I think Jigen needed him willing so thats why he buys him to show kawaki that he means nothing to his dad and also to dangle a better life in front of him Im sure he was hoping to get a faithful follower like the rest of Kara

Along with parched, it means "dry." Which is why, several times (when he wakes up in 188 and just before he erases Garo in 189), the animators depict him with dry/chapped lips. We see the same thing in this episode at the beginning when he's drinking water (the vessel is empty, though..).
