Garaga is just like Timeskip Boruto with his red and black color scheme and scarred special eye...so him saying how his scar reminds him of his loss and betrayal ! And taking in account Momoshiki's prophecy that Boruto will eventually lose everything. All of this, just one big foreshadowing for the far future ~

Ah, we finally meet one of the best characters introduced in this arc and Inojins new companion! :D Time to make some precious memories in the land of stone despite the rather dire circumstances that lead us here. There are a few possibilities of what Garaga might have helped Boruto realise in this one. Personally I've always seen it as him helping Boruto understand that he has to confront this situation of Mitsuki hurting him like that and what it means - so that he can find a way to deal with it moving forward, rather than hide from the truth in his perfect dream world that he created; refusing to acknowledge the fact that Mitsuki did attack him; something that he probably didn't expect in the slightest. Especially after he had been so fixated on his ever increasing instance that Mitsuki is innocent and his desire to bring him back. Even if it was very similar to what Mitsuki did to protect the gate guard from being killed, that attack still must have hurt a great deal. So that pain combined with the emotional pain and confusion probably lead to a very common reaction of our brains to protect us "Nope. That didn't happen. Let me re-write my memories real quick to keep me safe." With Garaga there to pull him out of that and remind him of the situation at hand - and admitting that he too ran away from the truth once - it seemed like Boruto was finally ready to accept that it did happen. He was hurt by someone he thought would never hurt him. And accepting that made him able to decide what he wanted to do: Not run away, but rather continue. If Mitsuki did not want to do all of this, he'll bring him back. And if he did, then make him understand how it's wrong and bring him back after.

I remember when I was in school, I would have difficulty even writing a few paragraphs. This dude every video drops novels with ease!
