Remember jack, kaguya was sealed away she’s not dead so technically naruto and sasuke did not defeat a god. Boruto is a different case.

If you listen to fish hook guy when hes talking to toneri, he say "i know what you did to that womans child" suggesting that he must have done something to Boruto, he also comes to boruto in a dream to tell him that his eye his special. Also Toneri knew momo and the others were coming

Also, in addition to what others are saying about Toneri, remember that Hinata is the Hyuga princess (descendant of Hamura) and Naruto is Asura's reincarnate. So it probably wouldn't be a surprise that Boruto has some Otsutsuki 'genes' in him.

Best. Reaction. EVER! You know, I was thinking after re-watching this, could Boruto ask his mom or someone else in her clan to check him out with a Byakugan? Or is it just the moon people clan who have that power to see a person's future?

In my opinion, the current byakugan that we see in the show is a culmination of different lineages hence it is not capable of such powers. The original main clan of Otsusuki might possess the purest form of byakugan. Also I've read somewhere that the eye Boruto possess is called 'pure eye' which could be linked to the main Otsusuki clan. Anyways, I'm pretty sure we are going to get a glimpse of Byakugan's true history in the future in an angle that we haven't seen it yet.

Hi Jack this is important to know and IS NOT a spoiler. Its a very small detail but its very important, technically Naruto and Sasuke never killed a otsustsuki, they sealed Kaguya away but never killed her. Boruto is the only one we know that actually killed one which "those who defeats Gods do not remain ordinary people" that momoshiki said comes into play.

In the Last, we learned that hinata and the hyuga clan are decendants of the otsusuki of the moon (hamura went to the moon after him and hagoromo defeated kaguya) and naruto is the reincarnation of ashura, the son of the S06P who was an otsusuki of the earth. Boruto has both uzumaki and hyuga blood (hamura + hagoromo chakra). Plus like a previous comment, the otsusuki have the purest form of the byakugan and borutos eye is called the "jougan" which means "pure eye" But we also know literally nothing about it. Just that its a completely new and different dojutsu from the ones we've seen so far (sharingan, rinnegan, byakugan, rinne-sharingan, tensegan)

I love Boruto and Sasuke's relationship so much lol. After all the time, Boruto kept chasing for Naruto's acknowledgement, turns out the first adult to give Boruto that acknowledgement was Sasuke, understanding full well what Boruto is truly capable of even assuring him that he has full faith in him 😌

Naruto and Sasuke never killed Kaguya btw, they only sealed her. That's why Momoshiki stated that those who defeat gods can not remain ordinary individuals (which you will learn more about in the future).
