It doesn’t matter how many times I watch this scene every time boruto looks at Naruto so excited for his acknowledgment just for him to expose him and not call him a shinobi and even takes off his headband it hurts it hurts every single damn time.

Purple Lightning is the jutsu Kakashi developed after losing his sharingan, because he can't use chidori anymore. It is a really powerfull jutsu

Two things: 1. The triple threat match was awesome, especially the ending sequence 2. That scene with him getting caught, no matter how many times I watch it.. is always uncomfortable asf to watch. How can you not feel bad for him in that moment? How his eyes literally are filled with glee when he thinks Naruto is about to publicly acknowledge him to just being embarrassed in front of the 5 Nations.. S H E E S H

This episode always makes me want to cry, poor Boruto lol, and the shit that drops afterward, he can't be good haha, all the exposure at this moment, and you see how he got there and that he was manipulated, he literally couldn't be lower in terms of spirit here ... he betrayed his friends, his family ... anyway poor guy, can't wait for the next episode! it's gonna be hard to wait for monday haha

I feel like using purple lightning was a dead giveaway that he was cheating, Naruto is close to Kakashi so he would know right away that he did not teach Boruto that technique.

Yeah this episode is really something. I know Boruto cheated but still i cant help that im feeling really bad for him, like the genuine happines and joy when his father comes down to the arena and is about to publicly acknowldge his son's strenght but he is exposing him in front of all of the Village + All Kage's....

Nope in the novels he learnt purple lightning form kakashi before chunin exam but he dont use that due for needing too much chakra
