Here we go!! It's time for the premiere of a brand new series: "Let's Argue". Inspired by Anthony Fantano, this is where you drop your hot takes and opinions about anything concerning Naruto + Naruto Shippuden! Note: this series will be uploaded to YouTube, but the comment entry is actually a Patreon exclusive benefit!

What do you think about the removal of Kakashi's (Obito's) Sharingan and his title "Kakashi, The Copyninja?" Do you believe it was unfair? Please answer from the perspective of Kakashi's character, not Obito's perfect death and his sharingan with him.

The third hokage was a terrible "gramps" to Naruto. I mean SERIOUSLY Naruto was kicked out of the orphanage when he was around 4-5 years old, only ate from whatever he could find until Ichiraku found him, and the Sandaime only noticed Naruto was on the streets when Ichiraku came to him to ask about Naruto... After hearing about it the Sandaime gave Naruto his own apartment like he expected a 6-year-old child to be able to live on his own. No wonder Naruto wore bright orange and played pranks, he was starved for attention. The Sandaime should have either told Naruto who his parents were, told him about Kurama, OR taken him in. Missed opportunities, man.

She is vital like a military medic is. There are times when Sakura was the only one capable of doing a task (antidote for Kankuro, running the hospital when pain attacked, summoning Katsuyu while Tsunade was in half, etc.) Even if she did stab obito's eye, black jetsu was plotting from jump, so without her, there's no way they get sasuke back from the other dimension and she saves both naruto and sasuke before they bleed to death when their arms are cut off. Kakashi couldn't do it.

The "Naruto is a hypocrite" problem Kishimoto failed in ending the manga, og naruto made clear that naruto beat neji because of his will and training, this mental can overcome obstacles; in the end naruto and sasukes were literally incarnation (like madara and hashirama were also but couldnt end the cycle), so the story had to end like this not because of the persona of naruto but because of their lineage which contradictes everything naruto beat into neji.

The power cliffing wasn’t bad, but it was different enough to warrant a brand new series (like how dragon ball had all its different parts). The pacing and vibe were just completely different and pain fight would have been a perfect end to Shippuden, the remainder could have been a separate sequel to the series. People who complain about it could have disregarded it in the same way they neglect boruto, and the people who liked it could watch it. Simple

At his level during his fight against Itachi, Sasuke would NEVER have won if Itachi didn't actually want to die. If Itachi actually fought his hardest, Sasuke would have been DEMOLISHED.

Why was Naruto so weak after training with a Sanin for almost three years but then gets a major powerboost in one week from learning sage mode? Why was the Hyuga named the strongest branch in the Leaf, but had no upgrades in shippuden? Neji or Hinata didn't unlock anything new with the byakugans's power while the Sharingan had many levels into it. Why did side characters show so much promise in og Naruto but irrelevant in Shippuden? They did a great job with Ino-Shika-Cho, Kakashi, Guy, Gaara, and Hinata, but characters you'd think that train like hell such as Lee, Neji, Shino and I guess..Kiba, would have been so much stronger, but they had no screentime whatsoever. The only big thing I'll remember about. Neji in shippuden was how he got the NPC treatment on his death. I did like Lee's involvement during Madara though. Ten-Ten had so much potential but I don't think the writer cares about her lol. Don't worry guys. I love this anime but I just wanted to start a huge argument 😂

Itachi is weaker than sage Kabuto. Yes Itachi was not trying to kill Kabuto during their final fight. However, Itachi still had the advantage because he had Sasuke as support, Itachi was immortal, had unlimited stamina /chakra and Kabuto was prioritizing capturing Sasuke. The moment Itachi got caught in Kabuto's genjutsu the fight would have been over if Sasuke was not there.

This is a rant so sorry for the text wall. The comments section is a big Itachi hypeman party, and I always see this so I wanted to write it lol. The fact Itachi vs Madara is even a debate is stupid beyond reason. People way overrate Itachi even assuming he was not sick. People take one quote from one translated version of the manga and claim his Susanoo is indestructible and that his sword one-shots anything via sealing. Even assuming that's true, Madara can negate Jutsu with rinnegan absorption, and any physical attack short of 8 gates guy via Susanoo. Attack potential is also virtually the same considering Madara's Susanoo casually destroyed a mountain by literally unsheathing his blade and that he can summon damn meteors and do the same almighty push nukes pain did. Sealing is also arguably the same since Madara had enough visual prowess to make the ninetales his lapdog without the rinnegan. Then take into account the massive difference in chakra reserves and it's a stomp. Think about this- could you picture Itachi fighting Gaara's entire battalion casually, fighting the five Kage for fun and stomping them? I don't think so. They're in different leagues.

The first one is debatable, it depends on what you consider High Level Shinobi. If you say High Level Shinobi are (Aktsuki, Sannin or Hokage level) I agree otherwise if you say Jonin level I disagree

The last arc of Naruto undoes so much of what made OG Naruto special and endearing. The theme of Naruto up until the last few arcs where Kishimoto decided to drop the franchise off a cliff was about how hard work and dedication pay off. It was about mental strength and having the guts to never give up- that was what made fights like Lee vs Gaara, Naruto vs Neji, Hinata vs Neji, Pain vs Jiraiya, and Pain vs Naruto stand out. BUT APPARANTLY, it turns out that Naruto's actually been the reincarnation of a demi-god space alien the whole time, and that he's DESTINED to be super powerful and talented so he can fight against Sasuke/Indra which basically spits in the face of the original theme of Naruto overcoming obstacles through hard work and mental fortitude because Naruto now has super special power ups and abilities that only he has that let him no-diff his way through all his problems. He's running low on chakra? LOL, Kurama's here to funnel him all he needs until the plot says otherwise. His comrades are in bad shape? Naruto's Jesus now for no reason and can regenerate Kakashi's eye and save Guy who's basically just a lump of charcoal. And those are just a few examples. There's like an hour long video called "Naruto the Self-Made Hypocrite" on Youtube that discusses this problem, and while not all of it is accurate, the main argument itself is sound.

Too many characters in the show would be dead if it wasn’t for Sakura INCLUDING NARUTO AND SASUKE. She was also the first person in the series to get a W over a Akatsuki member. Naruto didn’t beat one by himself until Pain and plot needed to save Sasuke against Deidara

The only big fight Sasuke has won in the series was against Naruto in the OG series. Every other fight he either needs a gang of help, he’s severally gets outclassed by them or the opponent kills themself

Neji's death was soo unnecessary to the plot. Kishimoto mentioned his reasoning for it was basically to be used as a stepping stone for Hinata and Naruto's relationship. But at the same time like...wasn't that what the movie was for? Nothing was brought up during The Last about their interaction after Neji's death as it did for when Hinata confessed her love during the Pain fight.

Orochimaru is overrated. He is not as strong as what everyone in the series portrays him to be. His only major display of strength was with the battle between 4tails naruto. The strongest attack was the blade that pushed naruto back or his ability to turn into Hydra form during Sasuke vs itatchi. Aside from that his biggest strength was his ability to shed his skin. In all his battles he was either only on defense or he is using reanimation to summon someone stronger (he just copied and improved the technique). With all his strengths i dont think he could beat gaara's dad by himself. He wouldn't be able to capture gaara if it was orochimaru instead of deidara. And arguably Sasori could beat orochimaru. Granted he could beat Hidan but he is nowhere near as strong as Kakuzu.

Chiyo carried and prep time saved her with the poison, the Akatsuki dub is a null point. Also sasuke v deidara is defo not plot and is probably one of sasuke's best fights for scaling pre-ms excluding itachi

all sannin scale to 4tails pretty much. Jiraya had a near death experience from 4tails naruto, Orochimaru was forced to summon gates and dip fighting 4tails naruto, and tsunade scales relative to both of them. I think the difference is about battle experience/jutsu. Sasuke became a beast because of orochimaru's buffs and stuff, and naruto was able to throw hands with him due to the sage mode and Rasengan from jiraya and co., they basically serve as buff handouts for the main characters more than extremely potent fighters. Orochimaru also kinda has hax on edo tensei since you have to fight other people and that basically breaks the scaling conversation entirely since you're no longer scaling off his fighting potential but that of his summons

I think it's close but it lowballs itachi just a little, I think it's like 60-40 kabuto. He has enough genjutsu experience and knowledge to break out of kabuto's genjutsu (experience from Tsukuyomi etc.) but kabuto still has a lot more tools that arent mentioned here

All bloodline limit users are related by blood. I think that everyone with bloodline limits are direct descendants of Asura and Indra. Anyone who has chakra or body based bloodline limit like onoki, mei, haku, uzumaki, senju, kimimaru, explosion style, magnet style are descendants of Asura. And eye based bloodline limit like sharingan and ketsuryugan are descendants of Indra. Although byakugan was directly linked to Hamura's line. Other chakra users without bloodline limit are people that hagoromo gave chakra to. So in a way, anyone who has a bloodline limit of asura could be his reincarnation and has the ability to awaken his chakra. But to awaken his charka requires hard work and determination. I believe Naruto didn't become a host of Asura's chakra from the start. He only awakened it by acquiring other tail beast chakra. And Sasuke unlocked Indra's chakra by receiving senju/sage energy with the help of kabuto. Naruto is strong now but it doesn't discredit all the hardwork he did in the past. All the mistakes and lessons he learned. All the bonds he created. Iruka opened his heart. Kakashi thought the importance of bonds. Sasuke made Naruto realize the pain of being alone. Jiraya polished Naruto's basics including never to give up. Pain helped Naruto mature. Bee pushed Naruto to also accept and love himself. Itatchi reminded Naruto not to shoulder everything by himself. "His past is what made Naruto who he is today."

There’s multiple characters that did stuff during they war arc lmaooo. Each group was relevant to a arc prior to the Pain arc. Also you expect characters who played the background in OG to do something in Shippuden? Nothing in your comment is accurate

Kid Sakura useless , Teen Sakura is just there , Adult Sakura is actually useful and to see her usefulness you need to either read ahead into the manga or there are other materials like the light novels that shows off here skills.

Some people argue over Sasuke's character in Boruto and say he's "out of character". I won't spoil because i know you are not there yet, but people have to remeber that before all the trauma that happened, Sasuke was actually a nice kid. In OG Naruto you see him warming up to Naruto Kakashi and Sakura. It looks like people WANT him to be miserable ... they consider him still as he was in shippuden. And it bothers me because at the end of shippuden you see him clearly trying to make up for the wrong he has done. He goes on that redemption journey to better himself before coming back to Konoha. It's called character development and people should learn that. Also, don't forget that it was said in Naruto that the Uchiha are the ones who love the most deeply ( which is also the reason behind their hatred). So, people need to realise that Sasuke IS the best version of his character, matured; thoughtful and responsible.

In my mind Sakura is complete trash. Throughout the Naruto series she has shown very little respect towards Naruto and treats him very poorly by yelling at him and punching him. Her "confession" to Naruto showed that she thinks Naruto is a complete simpleton and she relies heavily on others when she could have focused on bettering herself more. Although she has some shinning moments, she is ultimately weak minded and annoying.

Welp... this conversation existed. What was good intentioned turned into a Sakura bitch feast. Theoretically "let's argue" is a good idea but practically it doesn't work because most people are focused on one single issue. Per the usual people can't tell the difference between a badly written character (which Sakura is) and her usefulness.

itachi is a cool character and all but he really messed up sasuke for life. the kid was manipulated at every turn of the show and the lack of empathy for sasuke and idolization of itachi by the majority of the naruto fanbase irritates the hell out of me.

Kaguya was a super lame villain that totally shouldn't have been included. Whats worse, she replaced Madara, who was by far the coolest and best villain of the show.
