Fun fact: New Greed's voice actor is Troy Baker, the same guy who voices Yamato, Pain, and Joel from the Last of Us. Also, that WAS Greed Ling was talking to. When he completely covers himself in his armor his face changes to look like what we saw Ling talking to

Jack that was Greed that Ling was talking to in his mind. Also it's interesting how people see Father as a god and then truth is just chilling in the back laughing at everyone

Unfortunate that you skipped 27. You should really watch it at the very least, it has some really great moments and is actually pretty important to understand a bit more about a specific character

The red thing that took Ling over was in fact Greed. Just think of it as Greed's consciousness, or how Greed looks when not in control of a human body.

Agreed. Multiple people wanted him to watch it. I don't have any idea why a true FMA fan would recommend skipping it.

I would highly recommend watching 27, despite being a recap it sprinkles in new stuff and some nice foreshadowing. Do keep in mind however that it's a bit of a stranger episode and is meant to be mysterious before you've learned everything, so don't worry about not understanding everything in it.

jack you noticed that ed and al couldn't use alchemy but scar and mei could ill give a bit of a clue it's because of the type of alchymy each one is using.

I love this show. Alphonse is such a knight. And I suppose it is good to point out that the face in Ling's mind is Greed, if you judge by the face he has when his armor goes over his face, and the fact he mentioned avarice multiple times, which is a synonym of greed. Also, yeah the guy with the white cape and ponytail in the intro is the same man we saw in the prison, and the same silhouette we saw kill Scar's family. Also, now if you think about it, Ed and Al are deep in enemy territory in this game of chess, but they know they cannot be killed no matter what. So it might be time to take a few risks, no?
