This episode made it very clear that the upper military / homunculi are searching for people as sacrifices who have opened the portal (ie. Ed, Al & Izumi). The reason Bradley doesn't dispose of Mustang is because he is a potential candidate for sacrifice - not because it would cause suspicion. The generals explicitly asked how his candidacy for sacrifice was going. It's also the same reason why Bradley offered Izumi Curtis a position as a state alchemist despite being sick and bedridden most days. We don't know much at this point, but we do know these sacrifices are extremely important to their ultimate plan somehow. Great reaction as always, looking forward to the next couple of episodes! :D

Greed was short lived but he has a distinct personality. He cared for his comrades even though he says they are his possession. That's why he didn't get along with his fellow homunculi. Also, Bradly mentioned that the Homunculi has been controlling the entire nation since its inception. Extremely hype for the upcoming episodes!

There was actually a subtle hint to Envy's true form way back when Greed was made into soup. While chained up he taunts Envy, telling them "Why don't you show us what you really look like, freak"
