Envy is supposed to be androgynous, they're neither male nor female. The English dub makes him male but in the original manga and Japanese dub Envy uses a gender neutral pronoun when referring to themselves that doesn't have an English equivalent.

Nah we haven't met Pride yet, really the only one we haven't actually been shown as of now. We've gotten a small glimpse of Sloth in a previous episode.

Ed is reluctant to take the gun because he sees it as a weapon to kill, since that is what guns are designed for at the end of the day. Alchemy, in contrast, is extremely versatile, and even though in Amestris it is primarily used for military purposes, that is not what it is designed for or it's only use. So Ed sees alchemy as less of a weapon and more of a tool. And even though he uses it in combat to protect himself or capture opponents, you might have noticed that he doesn't ever use it to kill anyone.

If you don't remember, that skeleton in the black tunic at the end was one of the guys from Leore, the city with the corrupt priest. Gluttony ate a few of the clergy there
