Scar is one of the best characters in the entire series. The amount of growth and development he gets throughout his journey is amazing. Also, it was a while back so you probably don't remember, but the man that killed Scar's family is the man that they showed in prison during episode 1 that the Ice Alchemist tried to recruit.

So I never noticed this till now, it might just be the glasses, but Scar's brother kinda looks like Kabuto Yakushi.

I interpret the blond hair, blue eyes theme is a nod to the Nazi's and the creator showing Amestris were like the Nazi's when they conquered certain areas in Europe.

kimblee is the person shown attacking scar and his brother. he was the person who was shown in the prison at the very start of the show. Also, you can see that scar is starting to see himself like the very people he is trying to get rid of.
