As I have said the best fights to me in shippuden are the ones that have no commentary during them and this one is top 2 fight for me

Favorite fight. Period. I’m more into hand to hand combat as well Jack. Love how these episodes referenced their first fight ages ago. Feeling a bit sad now that we’re finishing my favorite anime though 💔

At the time when Naruto threw Sasuke's Susano on the ground and had a tailed beast bomb pointed right at him, it showed that he probably could, but did not want to kill Sasuke, thats why he took so long and in the end didn't shoot. Also you probably didn't notice (it's hardly noticeable tbh), Itachi was helping Sasuke with that final chidori, you can see his hand appear for a second if you look closely

the whole war was actually a training arc for the naruto and saskuke fight

Something most people don’t notice because it's so brief: when the hands appear helping Naruto with his Rasengan, Itachi’s hand appears briefly helping Sasuke with his Chidori. (Because even if Itachi wouldn't agree with Sasuke, and even though Sasuke said he was casting off the past, there’s a part of him that honestly is doing this for Itachi, proving that he actually hasn't severed all his 'bonds' the way he claims he has)

Jack, Sasuke had Itachi's hand appear on his chidori, I missed it myself the first time I saw that scene. Pretty cool.

What a brilliant fight man. This set of episodes released as a one-hour special and It definitely warranted all of the promotion it got in Japan, 475 had a special manga-like preview so it doesn't spoil the fight and it was even advertised on billboards, newspapers and train stations everywhere.

Btw, you can now add OP 19 to the ones you can watch after finishing the series! Be sure to check out both Ver. 1 but Ver. 3 especially as they have unique visuals (Ver. 1 was more of a filler-y one to not spoil Naruto vs. Sasuke, so Ver. 3 is definitely more hype). 478 has a special ending + after credit and 479 has an after credit so you should go back and watch them if you missed them on your reaction.

Agree, most people don`t see this awesome detail. However, I also think it represents why Sasuke fails in the end, because he states he`s alone, but he actually never was, and this is the visual representation for that.

I think when sasuke said it would be his last battle, he meant that regardless of the outcome, it be his last. He thought that either naruto would kill him, thus making it his last battle, or he would kill naruto and become powerful enough to fulfill his plan, in which case he wouldn't really have to fight anymore cause he would be in complete control of everything. That was my interperatation anyway.

A couple things I don't see explained in the comments yet, the reason you heard the same sound as Pain's Universal Pull is because Sasuke used Universal Pull on Naruto and his clones, quickly followed up my his inferno style attack. Also, what you missed with his left eye is after Sasuke shot the giant fireball at Naruto, which he blocked with his giant chakra hand, is that Sasuke used his rinnegan to switch places with one of Naruto's truthseeker orbs to quickly get behind him. Naruto realized this but couldn't stop from getting hit with a chidori.

I don't get teh sentiment that they should go back to hand to hand because that's what you only want to see. I get have a preference but the fight is already 66% hand to hand, feels like complaining to just complain when the fight is mostly what you want, you can enjoy both while having a preference.

this fight is already mostly hand to hand much longer then kakashi vs obito i dont get the complain a 20 min fight only hand to hand would be boring

I know what you mean, I liked the hand to hand better it felt more like Naruto the beginning of the story but this fight was unreal. Them still punching each other when they can barely stand anymore is heartbreaking but so well done
