Hello, hello! Bit late dev blog because Banshee has gone voosh and Vane has a headache!
Banshee finished working on some final details of Briwala's scene that she couldn't finish in time for last week's release, including the optional tiddyjob scene with Jeanne! She also started working on a new patron-requested outfit for Victor (and speaking of outfits, have you requested yours already? *wink*)!
But most importantly! She went voosh. She has gone on a journey to land far, far away, to explore the mysterious northeast of Brazil. How mysterious is it? Well, how about a flooded desert, is that weird enough for you? So yeah, wish Banshee luck and hopefully she is not too scarred by the eldritch abominations that inhabit that region.
Vane has been working on the endgame. He has been hard at work with a game designer friend figuring out how to balance the mechanics he has planned for the legion aspect of the game. Since updates are going to come out every few weeks, it’s going to be kinda difficult to rebalance things without messing up saves, so he is spending some extra time on the design to try and reduce the chances of having to rebalance numbers as much as possible.
As to what those mechanics are. Essentially the legion is going to have stats. Your decisions will alter these stats, and the outcome of certain situations will also depend on those stats. We’ll elaborate in more detail in the future when we have everything figured out.
Finally, as we always do, we would like to thank you all for your continued support. It feels like Rise of the White Flower has been in development forever, but we’ve been making steady progress and now we’re finally getting to the final stretch. We’re really excited about finishing Catherine’s story and we want to thank you all so very much for helping us get this far. We promise to keep working hard to finish this game strong and to only improve the quality of our work going forward!
