[Timey-Wimey] Jyc Row feat. Decibelle - Tempora's Requiem

Hello ladies and gentlemen! As teased yesterday, here's the big release for today! A surprise song in collaboration with Lumic4 and Decibelle (a.k.a. Mirisha)! It's been almost a year I'm working on the instrumental and it's been an incredible journey, we all hope you'll like this track!

So, this chunk of the comic does seem to have some tone issues (at least in my own opinion), and it dampens my ability to appreciate the song because, well, I don't actually care about Tempora as a character yet? Pages 78 and 79 had a whole wave of flashback pictures, and that was very pretty, but it's all jammed down very quickly, with no context and explanation, after our first encounter with her no less. All she's really done in the comic is make it clear that things are falling apart, and the main characters don't know why, so she's gotten all shouty over it - then she's dead. It's distracting, the song feels less warranted and more like it's there because 'it would be cool' to have a song for this character. You also transitioned to this in the middle of a major action sequence somewhere else, and that's. . . going to present a problem, because the tone from those scenes is actiony, and this is - well, in the title it's described as a requiem. If you whiplash between moods like that, it creates issues, which is why you'll rarely see movies or other graphic novels do that, when you switch between events back and forth, it's because they parallel one another, they are both having dramatic/actiony things going on at the same time, then 'once' you've established a character and made them 'human', you can have the death scene and everyone can feel it. I hope this makes sense, and is taken as thoughtful criticism (which is what it is intended to be), rather than just maliciously picking apart a comic I otherwise love.

Ah, I see your point about all of this and I can admit I haven't think about the tone between the song and the real comics (I've obviously thought about pages only when I wrote the story). To be honest, this song is a try for futures projects (like All you need is love), so, yeah, I can understand it's kinda weird here. About the transition, I don't think I'm able to defend our work even if I'm not agree here. I need to say I tried to make actions / actions again in this part (Nightmare Moon attack and Time destruction). But I can understand and I'm agree if the requiem itself is too much. About Tempora, she isn't dead. So, it's not exactly a death scene. But I understand the idea. Anyway, we're trying to make a great comics with Timey Wimey but you need to know that this comic is a laboratory for us. We want to try lot of things on it for future projects. I must say: we've learnt so much but don't worry, we don't want to sacrify quality for our experiences. Thank you VERY much for you criticism. It's always good to have serious opinions about our work. We really want to do our best for the best! So, thank you Solana for your comment =) (sorry for mistakes, Frenchie, you know?)

Understood, and thank you for being so graceful about it.~ It's still a very good comic, I just felt I should offer my thoughts so far, I'm not expecting changes or anything, but it could be useful input for later projects (I'm really looking forward to the next one based on its concept art).

I don't think offer your thoughts earlier could change anything unfortunetly =/ About the song, they worked on it one year during for example.
