... It does, but that's not my concern. It's mostly about the word "god" in it. MLP used to change some words to have more an equine vibe. Here, it's a religious vibe, which doesn't fit here imo.

Huh, I don’t get a religious vibe off of it. That hadn’t even occurred to me. Personally, I don’t see godparents having to do with anything religiously. I mean, when you hear about the movie The Godfather or about the Fairy Godmother, is religion the first thing that pops into your head?

Well, since I'm French, when I watched the Godfather, the title was a litteral translation. For us, "Parrain" (or "marraine" for a woman) is etymologically closer to "parent" or "mère". They are secondary parents. Which, for me, suits to what I think of Trixie here. While in English, "Godfather" litterally means "man who sponsors one at baptism and guarantees the child's religious education." I suppose from what you say the word "godfather" has lost some of its religious meaning with time, but I can't help but feel it like I should call Trixie with a different title. I think there's possibility to lose completly the religious origin of the word, and use a horse pun instead.
