hair changes everything! and you’re right, william gao (tao‘s actor) is a model in real life, and a very talented musician. he‘s in a band with his sister and one of their songs is on the soundtrack for this season! yeah, elle was harsh here, most people agree. it's like she lost all empathy and couldn't just enjoy the effort tao made. i guess she's scared of losing the connection they had as friends and was probably catastrophizing, thinking it'll always be this awkward now. i think you’re reading nick a bit wrong here. he’s not "perfectly happy" being in the closet at all. two things can exist at the same time, like he wants to come out and feels frustrated about having to hide, but he’s also scared, especially after experiencing how people reacted to him coming out as bi (the bi erasure with his brother) which is why he had had all those anxiety inducing thoughts at the party. tbf though, the pacing of nick’s coming out in the show is kinda off, because at this point, it’s only been a couple of months since they met and this entire season two takes place over only 2 weeks! so it feels like his coming out drags on for ages, but in reality it’s it‘s quite short compared to what a lot of people go through in real life.

also within those 2 months, he already came out to his mother and an entire friend group, so yeah i really blame them for how they’re pacing the comic volumes in the show.

Yess, been waiting for your reaction to Charlie standing up to Harry! Definitely very satisfying. When Nick‘s teammate said "good mates" in the beginning, the others gave him that look because at this point some of them basically know/highly suspect that Nick and Charlie are dating and the guy was trying to be subtle and give Nick an opener. Nick miraculously didn’t catch on to that and ironically felt frustrated they’d call him and Charlie mates lol 😵‍💫

Yeah I figured most people would’ve been able to tell by now that something was going on between Nick and Charlie. They always kiss in public places and hang out together at school and Nick does things like rest his head on Charlie’s shoulder.
