What's ironic about Conrad's character is that he's the one that actively pushes people away or tries to take everything on by himself, but in a way, that makes everything always be about him. He disappears to go save the beach house, but doesn't have time to answer a single one of Jeremiah's calls or texts despite how worried/concerned his brother is??? I'm sorry, I don't find that sort of thing altruistic. Meanwhile, Jeremiah's going through so much himself, but his well-being and feelings are constantly overlooked or minimized simply because he isn't in the habit of sucking the air and lightness our of a room whenever he's dealing with something. I feel like that's WAY more relatable, which is why I gravitate more towards Jere as a character.

Aunt Julia and Skye don’t live in Cousins, so that’s not their apartment, it’s the motel they’re staying in while she‘s trying to sell the house. But yeah, remains that they’re obviously not as well off as Susannah and her family, and that definitely plays into wanting to sell.
