Fun fact - I had not seen the OC until I started watching reaction videos on it. What I had seen, however, not missing a single episode at the time, was the Turkish adaptation of it (Medcezir). It starts pretty similar to the OC, but it deviates a lot as it goes on. The version of Luke in the Turkish drama was a very different character. He had some layers here and there, but mostly he was a manipulator who rotated between different stages of bad and evil. Because that was the version of the character I was familiar with and expected to see, Luke surprised me a lot. From the storyline with his dad to his genuine acceptance of Ryan, it was so unexpectedly nice to see.
