I'm not sure if anyone mentioned last time.. but the Doctor's absence is because they wanted to give Hartnell a holiday, so they simply wrote him out for this one..! I think the highlight of these episodes is how they continue expanding the universe Who's set in.. prior to this, we'd spent time primarily with historicals (the cavemen, and the lost 'Marco Polo' story), with the only true step into 'space' being the Daleks.. so having a story where the characters are hopping across different planets, facing otherworldly threats, etc. is a pretty effective way to make the show feel wider. Said planets/threats are.. not the best, but in concept it's quite fun! The attack of the evil plants.. not the most creative idea, but there's some fun goofy parts here. And, of course, the persistence of characters making incredibly stupid decisions to move the plot forward.. early days! The 'let's split up' suggestion happening so often in this episode alone is quite bewildering, though.. I never noticed how little clothes that one guy has. Did the costume department forget? Is it to make him seem more 'alien'? Hmm.. Nonetheless, great reaction!

LMFAOOO! Your reaction to Susan was hilarious! I kept laughing when you were getting annoyed with her. And yeah, as you've noticed, she does scream a lot and Barbara and Ian are usually the ones who have to help or calm her down whenever she runs into trouble. "STOP IT SUSAN STOP IT!" Lmaooo!
