Really enjoy the format this story takes.. rather than one (often overly-extended) story set in one location, it takes an almost anthology approach in the adventures, whilst having that through-line of the 'keys'. The model shots in 'The Sea of Death' are really charming - I especially love when one of the submarines briefly jolts back, as the string being used seems to get caught...! The evil brains-in-jars for this episode aren't anything original, but the ideas of tricking the Doctor and co with illusions of what they desire most is pretty fun (and there's a nice bit of unease when Barbara first wakes up, and we can't see what she's describing) I love Barbara going to town on the brain jars, it's so dramatic 😅 And yes, The Doctor is a bit of an idiot here.. not that such *truly* ever changes! It's pretty funny seeing him make the cliches of 'let's split up', 'let's believe everything we see' 'I'm going off alone'...

Barbara is one of my favourite Doctor Who companions and moments like these are why she really stands out for me. I love that she was the MVP of this episode. The POV shots when she noticed something was wrong was quite effective too. :)
