At this point: I like the new Doctor, I like the new Tardis, not sure about the new writing style but I desperately miss Murray Gold. Oh, and I love your reaction! :)

This episode is a massive nothing to me. I'm a massive Amazing Race fan and they've managed to take The Amazing Race and make it the least exciting, slowest paced space race ever run. It COULD have worked if there had been 7 or8 players still in the game and one by one they got killed off until the end. But the episode lacks any feeling of threat and the 2 of them winning together felt like such a cop out. This is my second least favourite episode of season 11 though, so at least we've got it out of the way.

This episode is just purely mediocre. They set up the premise of having a grand race and it ends up being the most boring or unengaging planetary competition race. There were some many opportunities to add tension to the race with those flesh eating creatures that they mention in the water but they just tell us rather than actually showing us. It doesn't even feel like a race for the most part. The scene with Ryan using the gun was ridiculous too. Imagine if there were more competitors such as different aliens mixed in with visual appearances of the flesh creatures, this could have immediately made a difference in making the competition feel more alive while also providing a touch of danger and threat to the race. But its just boring. The highlight is the ending with the new Tardis reveal but even the new interior feels too big and busy in most regards.
