Ah, this episode. Definitely one of the wackiest ones! The bit with Wes and Hope definitely is gross. Regarding the fallout, or lack thereof, I think it's a combination of two things. One, as you mentioned, the show didn't want to address the fact that she was for all intents and purposes enslaved and raped for an entire month (tbh I'm not entirely sure the severity of it occurred to even the writers or showrunners, given that the only pushback he got was "You shouldn't get what you want" instead of "You took away a woman's free will and forcibly made her your girlfriend"). Two, I think Wes's punishment was simply that she didn't remember him. She didn't remember him badly — she didn't remember him *at all*. If she were pissed off, at least she'd still be giving him some attention and maybe he'd even try to explain himself, but instead, things went back to what they were before: she doesn't so much as know his name. In a way I guess it's better for her too, though — if I were in her shoes, I probably wouldn't want to remember that ordeal either. Of course, she might find out anyway, since presumably everyone else in the town knew they were together and would ask her about it eventually, so there's that.

Not me forgetting to type this after I watched this almost a week ago. But the next episode is a two parter. Now I don't actually think they were aired together, maybe it was but I'm not sure. But it is a "to be continued." Sense we all forgot to tell you though lol,🤦🏾‍♀️ it makes sense if you're unable to watch them both at once. But I just thought I would let you know that it is a two parter just in case. But as far as this episode, I love it because it's so ridiculous. The teddy bear is my favorite. And to this day "I can dig it Todd" is apart of my vocabulary 🤣🤣🤣. However Wes gives me very much incel vibes and I'm not a fan. Anyway glad you enjoyed it somewhat. See ya next time🤗
