Love the teenaged girls in this season. Chloe reaching out to Daisy and Leah having her mom's back are great. And even Daisy trying to get her Dad out dating. There's no previous relationship between Katie and the rapist.. She's just that green a cop and he's just that creepy (which makes me think he was probably guilty). Mark is just insufferable this season. I thought Cath was maybe trying to cast suspicion on Jim in that interview. Trish was a badass reliving that and I think Ellie was overdoing the solicitousness towards her because they rushed her into her statement, but I agree, I think just Beth being there to make sure she was comfortable would have been enough. I noticed two things that were some great writing/acting as far as consistency in plot and character. 1. Ellie's reaction when creepy rapist said "juries get things wrong". Ouch, that hit a target he probably didn't even know was there. 2. When Ian's girlfriend calls Trish his ex-wife and Hardy says, "Not yet!" because he got cheated on when his marriage had gone sour. I hadn't really picked up on those as strongly as I did just now. Oh, and at this point I was convinced that the owner of Axehampton house or someone in his family was the rapist.
