I've always liked this episode. It's a Thinker. Makes you think. And also gives Sam a chance to put it all out there to Dean with how he's feeling. I can understand both boys' views on the subject. But it's a bit much for me to think that there was divine intervention for this one thing, when there's so many other bad things happening. Would be very random or pretty brutal for that intervention to happen in some cases and not others. I've also always wondered how much of what Dean says to Sam in the last scene was how Dean was actually thinking, or how much he was saying it to help his brother. Catholic confessionals are odd to me. Some actually think that they can do something bad and it will all be forgiven if they just confess to it. So their sins are wiped clean. So maybe some really bad people would confess. Yet another reason this show is so cool. It makes us really think about important stuff some times. It is tricky to do these kind of episodes. Season 2 is pretty solid.
