And now we know what's been eating at Dean all this time. Besides the loss of his father. I think that hearing Gordon say he killed his sister after she became a vampire hit him pretty hard. Too close to home for him and what John said about Sam. So, I think Dean is going to be really worried about watching Sam to look for signs and such. I think Sam is hindered by being the Good Guy and couldn't bring himself to kill Gordon. Proving he's not evil maybe. Sam is a good fighter. Kind of. But Dean's always been there for him, so he hasn't really had to worry as much because Dean takes the load. Sam should have killed Gordon, but he didn't want to be That Guy. I think Sam must hold back when he's fighting. The cops didn't kill Gordon, because it's a tv show, not reality. sigh It was pretty frustrating. I agree with you. I had mixed feelings about sam using his powers. I think Sam may not want to use them and might be hesitant to use them. They are connected to the demon some how, and they were taught so much that anything supernatural is "bad", so he's not happy about having powers so doesn't want to use them. The fact that some others with powers have been bad, must also be a factor against having powers.
