I think people take this show a bit too seriously...you don't have to attack someone just because he or she doesn't like or disagrees with your favourite character....mandzipop was attacked in one of the previous posts for just giving his opinion which is just sad...let's not make this a toxic place, you are attacking real people for FICTIONAL characters.. Always remember that....that being said, klaus is a freakin savage! Probably the best klaus moment in tvd,and soo well directed..the Christmas Carol just makes it 10x better..

Omg I laughed until I cried with the tiny little snowflake comment. Haha 😂 I love your reactions! Excited for the next episode 💖💖

this season is one of my least favorites solely based on the sire bond. the creater of the show said they needed it to happen because it would take lifetimes for elena to switch so fast to damon, but i think it could have been done in a better way. and that’s why i can never be a delena shipper lmao. klaus’ ending scenes this episode are some of my fav klaus moments. yes, he just murdered a bunch of people, but the way it all happened + the music is amazing. also, jeremy 👀

I wish Caroline didn’t tell Stefan about Damon and Elena, Yes he absolutely deserved to know but from them not her. She couldn’t keep the secret and it hasn’t been 24 hours since Elena made her promise not to tell. I feel so bad for Tyler, I don’t understand why some people hate him. He just wanted to save his friends and wanted his gf on his side. Also Klaus is a monster, first Killing Jenna & Elena then turning Stefan into a ripper and now Carol.

Gokul

I honestly feel bad for tyler,he just lost his pack and his mom for trying to help the hybrids get free...but I think he was sure of what he was walking into if the plan failed, the whole situation was like a game, and klaus just happened to win it...

Wow nice touch with the snowflakes in the title 😆 but yeah anyways this episode was pretty enjoyable and I don't really have a strong opinion on Klaus, I neither enjoy nor hate his character, but honestly, I know I shouldn't be saying this but I had a good chuckle while he was drowning Carol mainly because of the music choice. Oh and when will Caroline learn to shut her damn mouth 🤦‍♂️ like seriously Elena trusted you when you promised that you'll let her tell Stefan that she slept with Damon when the time was right but you couldn't even last a day without blabbing to Stefan that they slept together and the funny thing is that it was when you and Stefan were having a talk about how trust is important that you decided to go back on your word and blab

suveemi

The spell was just made up from Hayley und Prof. Shane to get Tyler on board to help them. Than someone made him go there to see all the hybrids ... They NEVER wanted to do the body switch .... Prof. Shady just needed an other sacrifice of 12 to fuel Bonnies expression

Anaïs

I don't think people hate Tyler this season at least not me, but after season 4... And yeah totally, Caroline couldn't keep a damn secret, like always, it wasn't her place to tell.

Anaïs

I don't see why people are surprised, Caroline has always been judging and can't keep a damn secret. It's her nature. Klaus was full savage mode this episode, doesn't take betrayal very well. I get that Tyler wanted to be free but he should of known better with Hayley to trust someone just because it's a wolf like you and that she's agreeing to whatever you say. Poor Carol, well, I get why they killed her off, her story wasn't evolving and there was not much left to work with in the story, now the characters will have to evolve in their way around her death. Feel bad for Tyler tho, if I was him, I would of left a long time ago to join the werewolves he so adore, because beside Caroline he doesn't have much left.

Exactly. Thank you for this. We love you Mandzipop :) And gokul Mandzipop is a she 🙈 I don’t get it why ppl take these shows so seriously it’s been more than 11 years for TVD the actors get paid and are good with each other’s so why do we have to keep fighting and take things so seriously. If it’s anything it’s the writers choice whatever happens in the show. Anyways I agree with you Klaus is savage I don’t particularly enjoy the last scene specially with carol getting killed but gotta admit Klaus is a bad ass and the scene with the Music is tragic, twisted but poetic at the same time. The way Mandzipop got attacked and even I’ve experienced this myself before was the reason I stopped commenting on this page. It’s very demotivating. Anyways thank you for this comment. Take care :)

But Caroline did keep a secret back in season 2 from Stefan when Elena was talking with Katherine. She said Elena is her friend and etc. But now when it's Damon of course she is going to be biased and won't care about her promise to Elena.

Lulu

You’re right about Klaus. That’s the sad part - he complains about being lonely yet his actions feed the exact thing he hates. I think that’s what makes it interesting bc we all have faults that we KNOW are bad/wrong, and yet we continue to fuel them. Obviously not to the same scale as this LOL, but a similar idea. I also agree with you that the whole situation sucks because Elena still doesn’t have control or freedom. He had to set her free in order to give her the opportunity to take control over her life; he knows she won’t be at liberty if she’s with him (even tho that’s the one thing they both want).

Now we know why Jeremy was sent to Denver, so he could buff up. The goodbye scene between Tyler and Carol feels heartfelt. You can see the real emotion behind the acting. I love that scene. There are occasions in this show when you see real emotions from the actors and it isn't just for the screen, this is one of them. You can call Damon out for a lot of things, but there is one thing he is good at, spotting villainous behaviour. It takes an expert in that area to spot one. The scene with Klaus killing the hybrids is so beautifully done. I know it sounds gross and all, but there is a sad cruelty behind it, set against the backdrop of Christmas music. Then killing Carol with the that song in the background. That was awful, I really feel so sorry for Tyler. He was just trying to do the right thing and has pretty much lost everything in the process because he trusted Hayley. I don't care what her motives are, I don't like Hayley. I don't like what Klaus did either, but I understand why he killed the hybrids, he thought he'd been betrayed. I don't like him killing Carol, but he is doing to Tyler exactly the same thing he did to Katherine when she betrayed him. I'm don't think April was there when Klaus killed kim, otherwise she would have already opened Rebekah's coffin. However, Kim's body was still there. April had a hard introduction to the supernatural world. Elena's feelings for Damon are what created the sirebond as explained by Nandi. He can only give her instructions on how to behave, he can't do anything about how she feels. Tyler said in the last episode that the sirebond has no effect on how you feel about someone, it is all about physical actions. So by sending Elena away, Damon has no control over her actions or words. Well, he does in the sense that he's forcing her away from him, which is something she doesn't want. He told her to leave, but she still kissed him. Damon is clearly heartbroken by what is happening and is doing his best to get through it until she is cured and no longer sired to him. I think he wanted one last day with her, because he is convinced she will leave him once she is cured and the sirebond is broken. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who was confused the first time I watched this episode. I was binge-watching and it was the first time I had to re-watch the episode before I could move on to the next one. I got completely lost with the Tyler story. They used hypnosis on Jeremy, so that is affecting his subconscious and is stopping him from automatically wanting to kill vampires. Whenever he feels the urge to kill Damon (I'm using him as an example as he's babysitting Jeremy), Jeremy will just have the thoughts of Bonnie popping into his head and will be all calm and stop feeling murderous towards vampires. I always say that in 3x22, Elena loved Stefan, but wasn't in love with Stefan. She was in love with Damon but was too scared to admit it to herself. This would explain why her feelings for Stefan were never heightened. If she cared about Damon and was in love with Stefan, then there would have been no sirebond. I do think peer pressure played a part in her decision. In 2x20, Elena said to Stefan she didn't really know what love was. She knew she loved him, but she was only 17 and was too young to understand these things. I'm sure we've all had the rose-tinted glasses experience in the first flush of love. Elena had that with Stefan, but because she was friends with Damon first, she bypassed that part and didn't recognise what she felt for him. They write Elena's words very carefully in 3x22 and it is easier to pick up what is happening with hindsight. I completely agree with you about one of the brothers needing to find someone else. I have been shipping that since S2. I'm not sure if a vampire can be hypnotised. What Professor Shane wants with Silas with become clear. Great reaction. I'm looking forward to watching the next one with you, but I don't have time to do it now. Take care. Stay safe. Stay healthy. x

@Other Boy You seemed super confused during this episode so I'll break it down: Before Stefan talked to Klaus outside, Haley was talking to Klaus. (one of my favorite things about this show is that they show and don't tell they give the viewer the clues to put things together before they do the reveal) Klaus found out about the hybrid's plan against him because she told him. The only reason she did all this unsiring/Klaus concrete crap to begin with was to piss Klaus off so much that he would brutally murder the 12 hybrids. She used Tyler and the hybrids and she also used Klaus. He was the only one strong enough to kill 12 hybrids at the same time. Shane talked to the pastor before the pastor blew up himself and the 11 other people... 11 +1 = 12. In your ending commentary you said that Tyler would find out Haley betrayed him, you may not have remembered or missed the scene but in this episode Tyler DID find out, cause she flat out told Tyler that she never had any intention of helping the hybrids and that she needed them to be sacrificed. Then Tyler takes off to attempt to stop the ensuing slaughter but he's too late. Hailey warned Tyler cause she didn't want him to get killed by Klaus. In the last episode we found out Professor Shane was orchestrating these sacrifices. He had told Hailey if she did this he'd help her find her family.

otherboy

I did mention that I realized that Tyler knew Hayley was a traitor but thanks for clarifying the rest

I LOVE this episode for the simple fact that it reminds me of WHY I adamantly hate Hayley. Watching your reactions, I started thinking "Hmm. Maybe I overreacted. NOPE. Like I get that she's trying to find her family. But damn. To betray an ENTIRE pack? I love/hate this episode so much!

Lulu

1000% agree with you. Hayley is so damn annoying. HOW IN THE HELL does getting information about your parents justify murder??? She knew she was subjecting (relatively) innocent people to a mass slaughter and didn’t even care. Literally no one: Hayley: I may excuse murder and betrayal but I DRAW THE LINE at teen drama.

I forgot how much I hated Hayley in tvd because she's literally my favorite character in the originals lol. Also did you know paul and the actress who plays Hayley dated for like 4 years?

Jasmine Bellucci

Klaus and Elijah are my faves, Klaus had a great redemption arch on the originals, that's why ppl loves him, I hated him too, is great to see your reactions bc u remind me of myself when I watched this show... Anyways I've never liked Delena, always find them toxic as hell, I don't like Klaroline either, I think they're pretty toxic too, but I can stand them. I'm so excited for you to go into the originals, I look forward to see if your opinion stays the same or it will change. Send my love from Italy, and I want to say sorry if I write something wrong.
