The three guys are Ian‘s gay friends from the army. When he’s having his breakdown, he tells Mickey that he knows some guys who are tired of this crap too, that will join them in the fight. Also, I think you’re right about Mickey being able to breathe now that his dad is back in prison, but I also think that he is so busy trying to take care of Ian, so that he doesn’t have to be hospitalized, that he doesn’t have time to be the irrational one.

Unfortunately there are so many grown ass people that dont think when they have a baby. Whenever you ask someone why they want to have a baby, 75 percent of the time their explanation is like them taking care of a doll. "i wanna dress them up" "i want them to match with me" etc etc. Like a babies only purpose is to be an accessory, not thinking about the years and the money that they're gonna have to put into it. I am so with you on not having kids. I want no parts of that life. I also think part of Mickey switching to the more rational person is because he doesn't want Ian to fuck up and end up doing something that he can't take back. Its a mix of Mickey being able to breath but also making sure that Ian is taking care of. Even though rn what Ian needs is a doctor.

I have to say Sammy is the most annoying one right now, she can't leave them in peace with her daddy issues 😖 As for Debbie even if to me her behavior is too much when she plays the rebel or whatever, it was time for her to step up and Fiona to realize that her sister is growing and having her first experiences. Plus, even if V was literally too much with Kev's hair, I have to say that even if she had babies doesn't mean it's gonna be pleasant all the time so I get that she is tired, that she misses her old life with her husband, doesn't mean she regret or anything but she isn't a bad mother, Monica is one, but V is just a young tired mom that's all. Anyway good reaction, next ep is nice can't wait.

2021-10-20 01:47:04 I can’t stand Sammy! Mickey is definitely different now that his dad is locked up & with Ian needing to be taken care of, he can’t be the one to make irrational decisions. I love V, but I don’t think she realized how much work having a baby actual is (and 2 for that matter), but she’s not a terrible mom, she’s tired and misses her old life which is understandable. Kev letting Svetlana breastfeed the twins was way out of line tho. Debbie is growing up and desperately wants to have those experiences, I just wish she would talk to Fiona about it. She’s still a kid of course, but she’s gonna do what she wants. Great reaction, looking forward to the next!

I feel like the dynamic of Mickey and Ian’s relationship definitely changes this season because in season 1-4 Ian helped Mickey come to terms with his sexuality and in season 5 it shows the roles reversed with Mickey talking care of Ian with his bipolar disorder and this season and season 4 are definitely Mickeys best seasons and the seasons where he develops most as a character
