Just a little Easter egg - Amy's door was No. 7 which was how old she was when she met the Doctor.

This episode has some of my favourite moments for the show. The way The Doctor confronts Gibbis about how his cowardice is sly. Under that makeup is comedian and childrens author David Walliams. I love his performance in that moment as well. It so wonderfully understated. And obviously when The Doctor is telling Amy to let go of her faith in him. I may have had a little weep as well.

“To dispel her faith in him, the Doctor tells Amy, “I’m not a hero. I really am just a madman with a box.” The Doctor also mentions he always saw this coming. I think this must be a call-back to The Eleventh Hour. Right before Amy took off with the Doctor in the TARDIS, she said, “I started to think maybe you were just a madman with a box.” The Doctor replied: “Amy Pond, there’s something you’d better understand about me, because it’s important, and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box!!” Brandon, it killed me seeing you get emotional. You needed a hug, and then I started crying too, and it was all very cathartic, but after the video was over, I joined family members who wondered why my eyes were red, and I told them, but they didn’t understand.

Another great episode from series 6 where it’s finally admitted that although traveling with the Doctor is wonderful fun, it’s also extremely dangerous to your health. After the events from “The Girl That Waited” even the Doctor had to admit it was a time to leave the Ponds for a while. (The Doctor goes into the Tardis, and it dematerialises. Rory comes out of the house with champagne and glasses.) RORY: What happened? What's he doing? AMY: He's saving us.

I think that the next few episodes feel a bit bumpy in terms of character progression but have, um, faith that it's going in a 'good' direction in general. 😃
