This is a good episode. Finally we are getting something more than MOTW - and finally see John! But frustrating, because he's off again. It was something I had trouble agreeing with too, when I first watched this episode. I felt that they would be stronger together. I didn't understand how they'd be stronger apart. The Broments are always so good! Broment - brother moment, of course. You expressed some really interesting thoughts at the end. Sam has not seemed like a willing player in the Hunter life. It was Jessica's death that got him back into it. Getting her killer is his goal, so he goes along with all of this, with the hopes that it will lead to that. The first time I really thought about it very much, was in the episode Scarecrow, where he was determined to go off and look for John, instead of going to help find out what was killing people. If they both had gone off after John, it would have meant another couple would die, for sure, but Sam insisted anyway. That was hard for me to wrap my head around. But, there are always going to be people who need saving. They can't save them all, and in the mean time they have things they need to do. But, I still don't agree with Sam's decision in that case, because their tip for John was pretty weak and it was very unlikely they'd find John. But, if it had been up to Sam, they'd have been traveling around the country looking for John, and not hunting at all, unless it was directly connected to finding John. ugh!
