I can’t believe you’ve never seen Dirty Dancing! 😱 It’s one of my all time favorite movies! I have to eat breakfast but I’ll post my thoughts on this ep a bit later.

I really like seeing seeing most of characters working together now too. Julia is still on the outside, but I really like how the show handles her struggle, and the psychological effects of the trauma of her rape. No it’s not something she can just get over, and the patch on her memory was only a temporary solution. Given how strong willed she is it probably wouldn’t have held up for long anyways. Something would have happened to trigger those memories, just like how she cut her arm so she would remember Brakebills when she realized that guy was going to wipe her memory in the first ep. He was supposedly a specialist on memory wiping and a professor at Brakebills, and all it took was Juli looking at that scratch on her arm to remember things.

I loved the crowning ceremony scene too and how Quentin, Eliot, and Margot took it as an opportunity to apologize to Alice and be real with each other. I’m hoping by this point Margot is growing on you, because I love pretty much everything that comes out her mouth even when she’s being a bitch. She is comedic relief, but she’s more substantial than just that and her character actually does have depth, though it didn’t seem that way at first. I like that Eliot is growing on you too. And by this ep Quentin had really grown on me, when I really didn’t like him at early on in S1. I loved what Margot said about him when she crowned him though. He is honest about what he loves. He’s a total nerd who wears his heart on his sleeve and a romantic, but he is hurt by the cruelty of the world a lot of the time and the harshness of reality. He wants to be a hero, but even when realizes he’s not the savior of story, he’s not resentful about it. He just wants to do what’s best. I actually love Quentin, and he is so cute sometimes. I love scenes with just him and Eliot. I love how he made up with Julia and defends her to the others because he know where she is coming from and he sympathizes with her.
