This ep gave me Miss Peregrine vibes, with the time loop and Quentin and Julia going back to London in 1943, so I’m glad I had you watch that movie. I Dean Fogg said he was just strong enough to recognize that he was in a time loop, but not strong enough to do anything about it. It was more recognizing things that had happened before only after they had happened like Quentin drugging his tea with truth serum a bunch of times. Like a keen sense of deja vu, I guess. And Jane must have told him about Julia. It is very interesting the way they just showed flashes from the Julia’s group summoning the god. Next ep is the S1 finale, so be prepared for that. I don’t want to say too much. That’s why I’m commenting now instead of yesterday when my comment would have been rushed or effected by tiredness. This ep was also a wake-up call for Eliot because he almost got killed and almost got the group killed because he was so out of it, eating that psychedelic carrot. Good on Margot bringing that gun though. She’s not the best magician of the group, in fact we rarely see her use her powers, but she is the most pragmatic of the group. I like that about her.

You know I give Alice a pass on Penny here. She's feeling a lot here as well and honestly I always thought her and Penny had a hell of a lot more chemistry than her and Quentin. Plus, I don't believe she was doing it to get back at anyone or to make anything even I really think she was just needing some kind of distraction and Penny was there and willing. I also believe it could have also came to them just drinking and talking, though I was happy when they had sex because I lowkey shipped them throughout this episode, other than Kady, Alice seems to have the best chemistry and report with Penny and I think he actually seems to get her to come out of her shell in a better way than Quentin does.
