I knew you would like this ep. The concept of literally bottling emotions for character that had been metaphorically bottling their emotions was a really good, I thought. Yes, it doesn’t take Freud to figure out the bottling emotions isn’t a healthy way to do with problems. Kady tried to warn them, but they felt like they didn’t have any other choice to control the battle magic spell to take on the Beast. At least Penny and Alice quickly realized they didn’t want to do it that way after trying it once and having their emotions come back super intense. Penny was dealing with so much other shit, he very likely would have killed himself like his mentor and Joe did, right after he did the emotions bottles again, but I think the thing on his neck also helped him. Quentin was right about Alice basically being a better magician than him though. She is way superior and she is much more in control of her emotions than him. I really love that scene where Margot opens up to Quentin and is crying over how worried she is about Eliot but at the same time it’s a really tense moment, because I didn’t want anything to happen with her and Quentin because I like Quentin and Alice together. And it’s crazy that Quentin had a fucking threesome with Margot and Eliot 😱🤯😆. I’ll never get over that and I’m currently on S5 (the final season they say).

Btw. I don’t know if you caught this before, but cellphones don’t work on the Brakebills campus because of the wards that surround the school, so that why they always have to use pay phones to call out.
