I watched the first Fantastic Beasts and found it pretty blah. I wasn't that interested, which was a shame as I love Harry Potter. What is awesome is that there's some writings on Pottermore from JK about how the first US wizarding school was set up, how wizarding culture developed, various reasons why that society is how they are.... I don't relate it to the Fantastic Beasts films, cos I really don't care about them at the moment, but the writing is the Rowling we know and love. And it's sheer genius how she's managed to tie the wizarding world into US culture and change various things so they absolutely make sense for the difference in country. Like they don't use the word "Muggle". Why would they? That's a very British word. Instead they use No-Maj, which is perfect because that's what Americans have conventionally done with the language, developed terms for things that actually make sense rather than using our funky (and amazing) British words.

omg i love the wizarding world! while i LOVE harry potter, these films will NEVER take the place of them! but theyre still entertaining! i find that they are a bit messy and convoluted but apparently there are another 3 on the way, so i'm hoping loose ends will be tied up and explained in the upcoming films!! loved your reaction though! :)

also i'm really skeptical about credence being a dumbledore... i think grindelwald is just manipulating credence even more - we saw it in the first film so it wouldn't surprise me if he's just using him even more! (i'm hoping he's lying otherwise i will be mad at jkr for making it unrealistic and sudden!)
