I was hoping you might not have picked up on the Owen/Tosh line, but you got it... But like you said, you don't know when/how their deaths happen, and sometimes that's as much fun finding out. I knew you'd love the seeing so many different cast members together as it's something you've longed for a lot in previous reactions. The fake out regeneration moment was massive news here at the time (obviously I know you've seen that it's fake now, so not a spoiler!) - I seem to recall it basically making front page news or at least close to it! :D I know you don't like the daleks much, but they are such a massive part of Doctor Who lore - they'll likely come back forever... they've made it through nearly 60 years. :D

Oh and daleks don't really have a way to 'create' other daleks like that - remember they are a race of creatures, that just happen to look like robots with an outer shell. They can't just 'turn humans into daleks' - that's more a cyberman thing. :)

otherboy

They attempted to create those zombie like humans in the Andrew Garfield episodes and merged with that one guy so I guess I was thinking they would continue to try that again😂 They just need to die already.

There's little I can add that you didn't already accurately surmise, but I can give a couple of details. 1). Dalek Caan appeared in the Manhattan Dalek story from the previous series - but it was pretty forgettable,so I can quite understand your not remembering :). 2). Spot-on with Davros. He first appeared in the story "Genesis of the Daleks",with the 4th Doctor and Sarah-Jane (which is why she remembered him/it). It was the 'Dalek origin' story (and a firm favourite among Who fans). Davros created the Daleks to be evil, unpitying beings - in other words, emotionally identical to himself. Rather like The Cybermen in the Classic series, every time that it looked like the Doctor had defeated them once and for all,they/he always managed to somehow survive! Nonetheless, bringing back Davros AND Sarah-Jane was a great great for Classic fans. And it's a pity you watched the next episode immediately - the fun we could have had in making you think you'd seen the last of Tenant! :D

Dalek Kaan was the one who teleported away in the New York episode last season.

Poosh has been mentioned before. In the 'Midnight' episode, Doctor talks with Dee Dee about the lost moon of Poosh. Dee Dee wrote about it and was selected as by Prof. Hobbes as his assistant because of the paper.

there was a huge news storm in the UK when this episode ended as to who the next Doctor was going to be as it hadn't been revealed at the time. Betting sites and bookies got in on the action and everyone had to wait a whole week to find out who....

Yes, Davros is a Classic Who villain- along with the Master, he is one of a handful of recurring arch enemies who has faced off against several of the Doctor's incarnations ever since Tom Baker (4th Doctor) in 1974. He's the ultimate made scientist and rabid eugeneticist. His original species was the humanoid Kaleds, who he genetically modified to create the Daleks. His return to New Who was a huge thrill for us old fans of the show.

I so enjoy the moment when the Doctor and Rose meet again, in who knows how long, and Murray Gold’s “Rose’s Theme” from series one begins to play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiHLhtO8l7o Then BLAM Ten gets shot, ruins the moment, and we face the shock of his regeneration. At least Brandon didn’t have to wait a whole week to watch the finale.

WHO Trivia: When Harriet Jones (‘former Prime Minister’) spoke of the ’Subwave Network’, which was used to communicate with the companions, she stated, “ … the beauty of the Subwave is that it's undetectable. It was created (for me) by the Mister Copper Foundation”. If you recall, Mr Copper was the ‘ship’s historian’, who got allot of Earth’s history wrong from the “Voyage of the Damned” Christmas special. At the end of the episode Copper is made aware by the Doctor that the amount of credits issued to his card made him a millionaire. One of the last things he says, after jumping with joy with his newly found wealth, was that he would “make you proud!”. Guess he did … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBIFgTQgHZs

Yeah I love that Mr. Copper was brought up again and that he put his money to good use!😄

This was such a hype episode! Seeing Doctor Who, Sarah Jane, Torchwood and the companions all come together was one of the most exciting things to watch. This was such a big crossover event! I loved seeing all three shows come together. Sorry about the Torchwood spoiler. I was hoping you would miss that bit of dialogue but at least you're still in the dark about the rest of it. It was great to see Harriet Jones take charge and combine all The Doctor's friends and allies to continue fighting against the enemy. I know you're not a fan of the Daleks but I think this is definitely the most threatening the Daleks have been so far. It was sad to see Harriet die too. When she mentioned the Mr Copper foundation, she's referring to the old man from The Voyage of The Damned Christmas special. He's the one who developed the Subwave network which is great. :) I remember when this aired and there was so much excitement. We had to wait a week for the next part and it felt like the longest wait ever. I was genuinely sad because I thought it was the end of Tennant. Luckily, you have the luxury of being able to jump into the next episode. :D

I love your reactions so much. You say “Ew!!” more than Alexis from Schitts Creek and it’s so hilarious.

And Dalek Caan was a member of the Cult of Skaro originally introduced in the series 2 two-part finale.

otherboy

Omg that’s awesome!😲
