Good, it didn't torture you.😃 I agree about Charley, I think that did that to show growth as she gets stronger in the world. Mom's fate is revealed in the next ep. I use to get Burke and Arron Echolls actor mixed up, thought they look similar.

When I first saw this my guess was they messed with time. Putting us out is sync with the the ability to have electricity.

The idea is if you move forward in time ahead of everything else then everything would look Frozen until time catches up with you. So nothing would work. Different than the classical time travel, looks more like deminsion change.
