You are right to guess that Katherine is from eastern Europe, I won't tell you from exactly where because the story reveals it. But yes, Nina Dobrev is from eastern Europe too haha. It's not so much a coincidence than it is planned I think haha. You'll see why later. Great reaction! Looking forward to the rest.

Also, I have a request for episode 2x09. There is a 9min bts video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWM34a5SBfw , that breaks down Elena/Katherine scenes from that episode and how they film them with the same actress playing the two different characters side by side. Nina talks about how she approaches both characters to make them distinct and different, and it's really interesting in my opinion! It would be amazing if you could tag your reaction to it at the end of your 2x09 reaction.

Mythology is where this show really excels. You will find out about the origins of vampires and it is brilliant. Bonnie's love-life will be addressed. My second big ship is her and probably one of the most romantic character's in the show. This show is 8 seasons long and it wouldn't work if Elena hated Damon for the other 146 episodes, what is more interesting is what Damon needs to do to win her friendship back. From now on, Damon's innocent death toll under his own volition is one of the lowest on the show. However, your opinion of innocent and his view might differ somewhat. If he feels a human is a threat or he is out for revenge, he does not view them as innocent. He feels no remorse for killing bad guys who threaten people he cares about, and that list is probably bigger than you think. I love the new friendship of Caroline and Stefan. They bounce off each other, around her, he acts like he did with Lexi. He is funny and can be himself because Caroline gets him, whereas with Elena, she doesn't understand how vampires feel. They aren't human and they experience things differently. Caroline will grow into being a vampire. There are times when she is amazing, and others where she is extremely annoying. She is now a much more important character in the show. What will bring everyone together is a common goal. You are right about flashbacks, there will be some in the next episode. In fact there are a few this season. Great reaction, can't wait for the next one.

First inkling of Lore drop, I'm for it. The Mythology is interesting in this Series. Though, honestly, I prefer the Vampires and Werewolves of the "Underworld" Franchise. Anyway, Stefan interacting with someone other than Elena is very refreshing. lol
