I just found out that the Tulsa Massacre actually happened and that I was never taught it in school. What a sad and ugly part of America’s history that needs to be told🥺

I'm not a big comic book person. I don't watch superhero movies. I know nothing about Watchmen. But people went apeshit over this pilot and the reviews are really good. I know it touches on themes of race and racism and Regina King is a goddess, so I'd like to watch this. But will I be totally lost knowing nothing about Watchmen? I literally know nothing about it.

I knew nothing about it either. I read that you don’t need to know anything about the comic or movie to enjoy it. The creator said it’s like a puzzle and he gives us a piece at a time so it is supposed to be weird. Same creator as Lost and the Leftovers if you’ve seen those😄

This is a follow up to the Novel, If you want to learn more about the world and don't feel like reading the graphic novel I would suggest watching or reacting to the movie, It would fill in a bunch about what is going on. I'm about 18 minutes into your reaction loving it so far!

I also don't think it's required viewing(to answer Kenny's question above), The show is doing a great job of standing on it's own, but it may help fill in gaps if you have them.
