I know from personal experience what it's like to be used and lied to from relatives who are addicts and you reach a point when you're just done. However, it's sad when you think about what made Luke start using in the first place. The poor kid was traumatized! I'd shoot up too if I had a creepy dude in a top hat following me around everytime I tried to get clean. Most addicts use to escape something. Rue (Euphoria) uses to escape her OCD and anxiety. In Luke's case, he uses to escape the ghosts of his past. Literally. It's kind of a beautiful metaphor, how the house is basically representative of childhood trauma. What happened there when they were kids affected and shaped them as they grew into adults, completely dysfunctional and still trying to heal. Who can't relate to that? It's more than you'd expect to get out of a show about a haunted house, but I'm telling you... this show is so good. It explores the characters intimately and then rips your heart out. So good. The next episode will make you cry. Maybe it won't. But I think it will. It's really fucking good. Please watch ASAP! lol
