So it's common knowledge that most singers that post covers of Anime/Vocaloid/Asian music often have their videos copied and reposted for the purpose of nightcore videos and it's a serious problem.  One, most nightcore videos and uploaders do not properly list credits and links back to the original video and refuse to comply with the original publishers' wishes and two, many monetize their nightcore videos which causes the singer to miss out on views and revenue for their hard work.

Some singers have started waging war against nightcore uploaders by reporting and leave angry comments, but it's debatable if those methods really do anything in the end. Taking inspiration from a friend of ours, we've decided to tackle the issue in the complete opposite direction by taking control of the nightcore issue ourselves so re:TYE can benefit from support instead of re-uploaders.

This is something we've been working on quietly on the side (and more details will be coming soon), but please see the video above...

Any thoughts, reactions, comments? Let us know!

NOTE: Before anyone starts freaking out about nightcore videos taking over our Youtube channel and patreon, rest assured, your support will be unaffected.  While we will be producing nightcore videos in-house, they will be uploaded to a separate affiliated Youtube channels so your videos subscriptions won't be flooded by unwanted nightcore videos (we greatly dislike them personally) and we're unsure if we want to set-up Patreon rewards for nightcore, but if so it will be on a different Patreon account as well.

I don't really understand why people like nightcore, but there are so many who do. It's a good strategy to release your own version of it and link both videos to each other. It's also good to keep them on different channels since it's a trigger for some people when they hear that word, lol. I hope it solves the issue or lessens it greatly!

Oh geez, I have a bit of a bad history with nightcore. I've heard too many NC songs on youtube that distort the instrumental so obnoxiously, it's painful to listen to in addition to the fact it hardly seems like the same song if I'm able to hear the original somewhere else. (it's rare that I find one I can actually stand.) While I know it's a bit necessary in some respects when it comes to how copyright is such a pain in the rear nowadays, but I always wished NC could be done more discreetly.
