Feedback Needed: I'll be posting a lengthy discussion video here on Patreon very soon discussing the future of my YouTube channels, the Patreon, and my current situation. I would like everyone to answer the question below to help me determine something on my mind and the topic of conversation for the upcoming video. 💥 YOU CAN ONLY SELECT ONE OPTION 💥 The question is "If Newfie Reactions did ONLY Movie/TV/Streaming Series Content in the future (No Music/Variety content) would you continue to be a Patron?"

Hi Eddie, I truly would be sad if you stopped doing your music reactions but I also understand you have got to do what's best for you. I do really enjoy your movie reactions but I wanted to let you know that I really struggle watching your raw watch along style movie reactions. You might not know this but in the UK and in a large portion of Europe the run times for the same movies are different from the region 1 area. Its because historically our TVs ran in PAL format where as in the north America its NTSC. In order for the movies to run on PAL they have to remove some of the frames so overall the movies are shorter. I own all the Indiana Jones movies so I thought I would watch your raw cut of raiders of the lost ark. They are the same movie but the UK version is just under 2 hours long and the US version is over 2 hours (there's around 8 minutes discrepancy) In order to watch the raw cut I had to keep pausing the movie every few minutes to let your version catch up and then re sync it ,I loved your reaction but it did make the whole experience a lot less enjoyable. So I thought I would try streaming the movies on a streaming service instead but again I have the same problem. I own all the Harry Potter films on blu ray so I was going to watch the raw cuts of them but I will face the same problem . The only way I can see around it is to buy a vpn subscription and then subscribe to a American streaming site. I will probably have to do this if you decide to give up your music reactions because I will get hardly any benefit from the patreon membership otherwise. But I can see this really limiting the amount of patrons you get especially from Europe as some people may not want to get a vpn and sign up with a streaming service when they already own the movies. Plus you have the added problem that in some countries the movies maybe slightly different due to local censorship laws. I know of several creators that just put the full film up and do not do watch along style. I completely understand you don't want to do that because if copyright even though really what you do falls under fair use. I don't know what the answer is but the watch along style may limit the amount of patrons you receive from outside North America. Even if you put up a distorted version of the movie like you do with your music videos that would be more enjoyable for me to watch rather than watch along where I have to resync every two minutes. I have absolutely no idea if there is the same issue with Netflix because I don't currently have a Netflix subscription. I haven't tried to watching a Raw Disney plus movie yet so I don't know if there is the same issue. I just wanted to let you know that some people may struggle so you could be limiting your audience.

Hey Ally, Wow I didn't know that about the UK versions being different than the US versions. Mmmm. I think I'll reach out to some of the other big reaction channels to ask how they do their Raw Cuts. I know all the big channels I looked at all say "You need your own copy to watch along and sync up with." So I'm curious how they tackle that problem. I'll look into it. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

I don't know what the answer is , the creators that I know put up full films are walking on a very thin line in terms of copyright, so I totally get why you don't want to put full movies up. I might just have to get a vpn subscription and pretend I am in the US.
