Upcoming Poll Changes (Patreon)

Greetings! Based on feedback from the survey I sent last month, as well as feedback directly from Patrons over the last several months, I decided to change things up a little bit with the polls. I feel these changes will be good news for everyone. I hope.

A common complaint I received is that the same several artists win the polls every week, and this has led to many Patreons feeling like there is not much point in making suggestions or participating in the polls. They feel their suggestion will be overpowered by a mainstream pop artist. I get that. At the same time, if the mainstream pop artists are winning, that is because it's what many of you want. So I was trying to think of a way that I could handle the polls to make both sides of the issue happy. This is what I came up with.

I will keep the Music poll as it is now, however, when a specific music artist wins for the FIFTH time they are moved to the TRENDY POLL. The Trendy Poll will be for the most popular artists on the Patreon.  So there will be a Music Poll, Trendy Poll, Artist Specific Poll & Variety Poll. Which would give us 4 winners for each week.

This should mean that you will see more of the mainstream artists that so many of you love in the Trendy poll each week. In addition, this means that it gives other artists a better chance of getting voted in on the Music poll, resulting in more variation in winners. So everyone wins right? :)

We will try this for several months and see how it goes with everyone. Feel free to send me a message with your thoughts on the changes. It's your feedback that helps me improve the Patreon to make everyone happy. 

The Trendy Poll starting lineup will be the following.
Ariana Grande
Camila Cabello
Jonas Brothers
Selena Gomez
Shawn Mendes
Taylor Swift

I will start to keep track of the other artists who win the polls starting now. So once an artist from this point on wins 5 times in a row on the Music Poll they will be added to the Trendy Poll for future voting.

So remember, you can send me one suggestion for the Music Poll, one for the Trendy poll, and of course, one for the Artist Specific polls for that month.
