Billy Joel has hundreds of hits, he’s a brilliant artist: Just the Way You Are, Moving Out, Only the Good Die Young, Vienna, New York State of Mind, She’s Always a Woman, We Didn’t Start the Fire, Still Rock and Roll To Me, Uptown Girl, Honesty, You May Be Right, Pressure, Allentown, Tell Her About It, The Longest Time, A Matter of Trust. I’m stopping in 1989 and this is only the massive hits, entire albums are masterpieces (The Stranger & Glass Houses for example). He and Elton John toured together for years as two piano men, between them they are music history. There’s a hit Broadway musical based on Billy Joel’s music.

PS He wrote this song based on years in high school and college working as a piano man and for all those like him still out there. This album was his breakthrough.
