I thought a little about which gods they'd be if I were doing a more strict Lovecraft interpretation; I came up with Nyarlathotep for Hannibal (because obviously) and Shub-Niggurath for Will, though that's mostly because I've seen fannibals identify him as that before and it kinda stuck with me... I don't think of them as 1:1 equivalents to those in this story though. I picture them as literally conjoined in that other space, tangled together for eternity Owo
