I don't cooperate with the police on principal. While I love the cops and detectives in cop shows they are not like in real life. The good ones are few and far between. And even the ones that are nice are just being nice to get information out of you that they hope they can use against you later. ALWAYS keep your mouth shut and only ask for an attorney. Never admit to anything never tell them your story don't even give an alibi. If they want you to come in gor questioning you don't have to go. If you do go and they question you, you have every right to LEAVE whenever you want. Unless they arrest you they cannot keep you, it's unlawful. And if they arrest you they have 48-72 hours to charge you with something. They won't do that unless they believe they have hard proof. And even if they are holding you, you still have the right to an attorney, the bathroom, and food. If they don't provide any of that tough it out and sue for mistreatment.

Asking for an attorney is not admitting guilt it's being smart. Then you tell your attorney your story and they sit with you to answer the questions. Attorneys are there to help you from getting screwed by the cops.

I have friends that are cops. Trust me if they even suspect you're guilty they'll screw you sideways

@Laura Stewart is out here collecting edges. I love his sense of justice which for some reason doesnt come off as being too Superman. Its just the right balance. How do you do it Reaps???
