BIOASSHARD DEV REPORT 4/13/2023 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

It’s been a long time since the last report, huh?

Well, we took some days off after the release of the Revision (the one fixing the reported bugs including the not-working doors) and got back to work again.

Started working on fixing the reported/found bugs, and that’s now almost done. The one that took longer was the reported one that happened in the Mansion where dead enemies get up again in an invulnerable state, one of the reasons for it being that Unreal doesn’t give a reliable way of getting all the actors in a specified Streaming Level and instead return all the enemies in a level, so I had to get back to C++ and implement my own way of getting them. Then had to go back and forth until finding the proper way of deactivating them without breaking anything related to their state, animation, AI, etc.

And so, we’re working already in the first of the two new main features to be added for the new release. This one, pretty similar to the documents in terms of that their usefulness is to give you -the player- some info, is almost done as well and soon we should be working on the other mechanic.

Unfortunately, this time there’s nothing to show in a screenshot, so it’ll have to end here.

Time to get back to work and try to get things finished as soon as possible.
