Development Report 8/28/2020 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

So here we are, back from our well-deserved vacations.

Well, to be honest we got back a few days ago, but didn’t post anything about it because there was nothing to talk about yet lol. 

Anyway, there’s still not much yet to talk about, since we are starting our work on the new stuff for the next release. As you know this will take time, but we’ll be updating you with the progress made.

Now, to the important things:

We didn’t lose our time and updated the game to a new engine version to make use of the new tools and to be able to, in the future, make the jump to UE5.

Now, make sure you read this before jumping to download the new version!

There’s NOT any new content. To see exactly what’s been done, you can take a look at the changelog in the .rar file (the first +new+ and the first two +fix+).

With the update, some errors appeared, some of them really unexpected. So, took some time to fix them (the ones that could be fixed). One of them was related to the lighting, making everything to look nuclear white lol. For example, the Exterior area was completely white, you couldn’t even see Julia in there.

Also, there seem to be some kind of version incompatibility for the saved data about unlockables, etc.

So, keep in mind, that playing this version is like starting from scratch: you’ll have to use your FCs again, you’ll have to play a mission to unlock the next one again and you’ll have to unlock every unlockable again. But don’t worry, this won’t overwrite your previous data, so if you play the previous version 0.3.198-Rev.2, you’ll have everything you had in there.

BUT I still need you to (please) play this new version to see how it runs, to see if everything keeps working as it should and to report any new bug you may find.

NOTE: Make sure you don’t delete the previous version 0.3.198-Rev.2 if you want to keep playing with what you had unlocked. But still keep in mind, that maybe you won’t be able to use this data for the next major release if the data incompatibility between engine versions can’t be fixed.

Now that you read everything and got it clear, you can go here to download the new version 0.3.198-Rev.3 

And now I’m waiting for your reports about this new version, hopefully every report will be confirming everything is working :3
