Intro Story

   It was carried by six men. A golden sarcophagus wrapped in chains and covered in runes of holding, each black letter painted by hand over the course of days under the watchful eye of the high seer.
   

The creature could not be allowed its freedom.
   

The men carried the sarcophagus through the large entry hall guarded by a massive obsidian statue of Oglamish’ra, Lord of Falcons and Ruler of Eyes. His royal gaze set fixed upon the stone doors barring entry to this tomb.
   

Robed men and women filtered in behind the six men, carrying heavy sacks of grain, crates of books and other supplies. Behind them strode the elegant Oasuu, powerful magi of the deep desert with crimson skin and three eyes that glittered darkly.
   

The sarcophagus was taken south down a set of stairs, through a grand meeting hall where the Oasuu council of magi would meet over the next few several decades to confer over rumors and prophecies, keeping vigilant against any unforeseen threat to their mission.
   

It continued south even deeper into the earth, past another set of thick iron doors, across the carefully etched floor of the Circle of Seravasse, the most powerful of wards against the prying eyes of seers. The creature’s minions would not spare a single life to find and free their master.
   

East the men carried the sarcophagus, down yet another flight of stairs to the base of the vault and the doors without. Ushering them inside, the Oasuu leader, Kalch’a, ushered them inside mutely and gestured toward a crystalline circle upon the floor.
   

The men deposited the sarcophagus and exited the chamber. Kalch’a turned, his three eyes glittering defiantly in the darkness as he began the spell of binding.

The Lost Tomb is a Dungeon that holds an ancient evil captive with a golden sarcophagus deep beneath the earth. It was originally captured by an alliance of surface dwellers that too kit upon themselves to sacrifice much in order to keep the evil contained. 

Even their best laid plans, however, could not have predicted Mother Nature, herself, thwarting their careful plans and exposing the location again to the world.

The tomb contains both the creaeture's vault, as well as the extensive infrastructure created by the volunteers who lived the rest of their days trapped beneath the river overhead to ensure that no one ever found the creature, and that the creature never escaped.

Now ravaged by a powerful earthquake, access to the tomb has been restored and an expedition of explorers has found their way to its entry. The interior contains many of the alliance's original infrastructure, research, artifacts and, even, their bodies, but the earthquake has also compromised the vault, allowing the creature, even in its weakened state, to begin exacting plans toward its freedom.

This is amazing. Btw, did you ever manage to do a write-up? I'm particularly fascinated by the constellation puzzle (?) on the SW side.
