In January, I began an initiative to create a Fantasy Art Gallery comprised of 100% human-made artwork to begin populating a gallery that could be used by DM's and Players to find inspiration and use for their personal, home games.

In March, I ended up commissioning about 20 artists (some are still working on finishing up their pieces), for this month's collection, who were given the same theme of - "Giants & Giant-Kin".

I LOVED all of the submissions and working with all of the talented artists on this list.

The artists whose pieces are pictured below are:

Mouth of Grolantor by Steven Bell

Firbolg by Alicia Varela Martínez

Storm Giant by Olie Boldador

Hill Giant by John Ric Deto-on

Cloud Giant by Elena Barbieri

Sea Giant by Lukas Sanctum

Female Ettin by Nath Yoo

Roadside Giant by Gaia Cafiso

Hill Giant Returning Home by Robert Rudnicki

Ettin by Guilherme Santos

Fire Giant by Alfred Aromin Abad

Frost Giant by Ben Mirabelli

Hill Giant by William Stuckart

Cyclops by Jean Rachael

Stone Giant by John Ric Deto-on

Frost Giant by Aleksa Stajsic

Ettin by Jean Rachael

The permanent website for these is being developed, but until that resource is available, I am going to be keeping the images here for everyone to be able to view and access.

LICENSING NOTE

All image rights are owned by the individual artist and I have licensed these images to be used in a Fantasy Art Gallery that can be used by anyone for their own personal and private games.

They cannot be used commercially, unless you want to contact the artist and discuss licensing independently.

My plan is to do a new round each month and slowly build out a large repository of fantasy art for people to use that will encourage and support human artists vs. AI art. Even though I use AI images for concept work, I still feel very strongly that human artists should be kept in the loop and used/supported, especially for commercial work.

I hope you guys enjoy it, and would love your support (if I don't have it already) to continue bringing you more!

Are we free to use this commissioned art without our live streamed games?

morvoldpress

Hi Alan -- it needs to be for non-commercial use and needs some way to credit the artist of the pieces used. So, if you're streaming for free and fun, sure. If you're streaming for subs and generating revenue, not presently. I will ask about that use case.
