Request of the month (March 2024) (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Let me start by thanking you all for your constant support!
As I mentioned before, this will be the final Request of the month before I revamp my Patreon.

Main reason is I use this post as a guide of what to do next, ideas that are not mentioned here might end up being skipped/missed.

If you want or need to discuss the idea first, we can talk it via Discord (@mythkaz), but I would like to have your Discord username first (DM me first or something, I reject any friend request I get without explanation or forewarning), in case you are adding me as a friend, if you are in my server, you can talk to me from there). However, after discussion, MAKE SURE YOUR IDEA IS IN A COMMENT IN THIS POST OR IS DM (And you mention your idea is DMd)

Tips

1. The quality of the piece depends on the amount of characters you request:

• 1 character: Cell shaded
• 2 characters: Flat color
• 3 characters or comic: sketched
• 4-5 characters will be put in a comic page
• As a note, comic pages can't have more than 5 character and is a small comic page/manga page.
• If something is too complex (many details or elements) the piece might be simplified or reduced in quality

2. Variants: First thing (if applies) is to mention if you are planning to upgrade the piece or not, MAINLY if you are wanting to have variants in the piece other outfits or expression.

3. Type of Piece: The next point to address is the type of piece you are wanting to make. Is it just a drawing, a comic, a 2 panel drawing, a drawing done through various months? etc. This helps me to avoid assuming stuff or accidentally skipping details.

4. Details: Be sure to provide as many important details (And if possible, visual references) you wish to see in your piece, including but not limited to: Expressions, Poses, Outfits, Colors of the outfits, perspectives Etc.
An example can be that someone asked a scenario from a tweet, and said tweet included a girl in a cute pose and outfit, he didn't considered the outfit was also noted as part of the scenario, so a fix had to be issued later, so I mention it so you all keep that in mind.

5. References: Please provide references if

• You are requesting something with a particular original character.
• You are using poses or special items in the request (Like some unique tool or a specific outfit)
• The character has multiple forms (like ages through the series (child, Teen. adult, etc.) or iterations like with Star Fire from the Teen Titans)

If the character is popular and can be googled easily, There is no need to provide a reference.
If you just say "A girl/boy" I'll use one of my nameless characters for the piece XP

6. Styles: If I'm using a character (mainly from an American cartoon like Amphibia or Gravity Falls, I'll likely try to recreate the style on the request, if you do not want me to do this, please mention it, You can also ask for me to try someone else's style, but take in mind that could be rude for the artist and/or I may not be able to properly replicate it.

Bonus

I mentioned I wanted to give a small something as a bonus to everyone for your support through all these months, the idea be it can be a small upgrade overall, or you can ask for an extra 1 character sketch. PLEASE BE SURE TO MENTION WHAT YOU WANT IN YOUR COMMENT, IF YOU DO NOT ASK FOR AN EXTRA SKETCH, I'LL ASSUME YOU WANT THE UPGRADE

What do I mean with Upgrade?

• If you have 1 character, it will be moved from cell shade to smooth shade
• If you have 2 characters, I will make it cell shade
• 3 characters or comic page would be moved to Lineart.
• You could ask for a 4 character sketch (wouldn't be limited to the comic page size)

Notes

• I usually don't read the ideas until I start working on them, I usually don't have issues with what is asked (plus perpetually busy), however, if there is an issue, your idea might need some clarification or redoing. (Or have some extra cost when upgrading it.)
• Under age characters, or characters looking suspiciously young will be aged up if presented in suggestive scenarios (This mostly to cover my cowardly butt)
• I may do a censored variant, however, this is up to my judgement.
• As a note, remember that at the start of next month, I hold a Sketchorama upgrade, where any sketch done this month will be put in a poll and have the winners get upgraded.
• Pieces done through various months may occupy more slots in this poll or not be considered
• Please avoid using imgur, for some reason my computer blocks the site and I have to do extra steps to see the images.

Alternatives for imgur:

As I mentioned, I seem to have issues accessing imgur, so if you can avoid it, I'll be grateful, here are few alternatives to it.

If you have a deviantArt account, you can go to https://sta.sh/ and upload a group of pieces in a single folder to have elements together.

If you have a google mail, you can go to https://drive.google.com/ create a folder,  get a shared permission and share the link (even if privately) to post the desired images

If you have a Microsoft mail (hotmail/outlook) you can go to https://onedrive.live.com and in a similar matter with google, create a folder to share the images.

Possible questions

Here are some questions you may have about moving forward

• Will next month be a snatch upgrade?
  A: Yeah, I'll offer the upgrade as usual (Assuming there is no major event making me to postpone it.
• Will I be able to upgrade previous sketchoramas in future months?
  A: Yeah, Will open the snatch upgrade a couple more times in next months to let pending pieces to be completed (if anyone is interested)
• What about the gift of the year?
  A: I'll keep that up for the rest of this year, while it may be limited to a drawing of up to 2 characters, will put everyone's name (in Levels A, 3 and 4) in an excel to keep track of that. If you want to ask for something, be sure to DM me (This month may not be best one to do so tho)
